El Rey Enterprises
Phone Service
was developed as a less expensive alternative
to the on-site solution. The objective is to provide interpreter
services by using conference calls.
Initial Setup
There is a $15 initial charge (one time
only) for setting up your account with El
Rey Enterprises. The customer would be asked to provide the
following:
- A list of the authorized individuals
who could initiate a phone interpreter request.
- Name, address and phone number for
the billing office point of contact.
- Use of two phones that could be connected
to the same call to the interpreter.
Typical Session:
A typical session would include the following:
- Call 599-9971 to request an interpreter
session.*
- Caller would need to provide her/his
name to verify authorization.
- Once authorization has been verified,
caller would receive phone number to call for the conference.
- Caller would be asked to provide any
relevant information (name of client or patient and background
information).
- Caller would call the conference phone
number. The time of the call would start when all three parties
are online.
- Jerima King
(native Spanish speaker) will do consecutive interpretation between
the staff member and the client or patient.
- The staff member will decide when the
service is complete.
- El Rey Enterprises
will notify the staff member of the recorded duration of the call
at the end of each call.
Invoice
- El Rey Enterprises
will submit an invoice monthly for all Spanish Interpreter Service
calls during the calendar month by the 5th of the following month.
- The invoice would include authorization
name, session date and request time, duration of session and charge
for each session during the calendar month.
- The balance would be due by the end
of the month.
* The Foreign Language
Center may be contacted at 636-1713 when Jerima
King is not available, and for languages other than Spanish.
